Thanksgiving!

We had a lot of fun over the Thanksgiving holiday! We were able to host one of Preston's sisters and her husband while they were in town for the events. It was a lot of fun to see SO MUCH family in that couple of days!

I started off with another date since Preston was attending his EMT class during the Pre-Thanksgiving dinner with my mother's side of the family. My date was Maria, and she was a great one! J We had a lot of good food and laughs while watching the wrestling entertainment. It did get quite loud but Maria said she felt right at home since her family is loud too. I don't think that family can get together and be quiet…

Thanksgiving Day was spent with Preston's family. His aunt and uncle (plus kids and spouses and their kids) were her from Michigan. It was fun together with his extended family since I haven't spent much time with them. We started the day by going bowling. It's pretty sad when there was only one person (to my knowledge) that got above a 150. The rest of us hovered in the 110's with a few outliers, plus and minus the average. It was also really funny to watch the boys and a few girls do the punching arcade game. It was funny to see how hard they would swing and what score they got… especially when they swung and missed the punching bag and fell into the wall!

After the big feast we all hung out and ate pie later on. After the kids were all in bed, the Reading kids/spouses/friends all came over to our house to play some of the most intense Jenga ever attempted! It was hilarious to see some of the methods we all came up with. Just so you all know, it hurts to flick blocks with bare finger nails, it is possible to kick a single block out of the tower, and it is possible to remove the entire row at the bottom of the tower all without knocking the whole thing over (unless you are me…)

The day after, Preston and I both had to work. After work we went over to Marianne's and all decided that we would play volleyball. We got in a good amount of time on the court. We had quite a few epic plays! Poor Preston learned he could clear a whole gym too… It was a lot of fun, and in the end our team won ("okay… next point wins")…

Saturday we hung out with the Bragg side and watched some football. That was disappointing. After we all had enough time to brush off the loss, we went to Pizza Pie CafĂ© and enjoyed a nice big tasty meal!! I of course ate too many pieces of the peach cobbler dessert pizza… After we were done eating our hearts out we went to Liberty Land to take advantage of our season passes. It was a bummer that the Laser tag was so busy, but we played some arcades and then went back to the Wu's. Most fell asleep watching Invictus…

Sunday our kids in class were pretty easy and we learned about testimonies and Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego… We were told later on by one of the parents that we are doing an excellent job of teaching. One of our kids took the object lesson, and the scriptures we taught and told the whole story for an FHE lesson. She was able to pull up the exact story in the OT and taught our whole lesson. Her parents were impressed. I was impressed. I didn't think they listened half the time!

Oh and the only picture I got of the entire weekend… (Wednesday night's events are on fb…)
